The truck was travelling between a Paris Airport to the main office when it was hijacked and robbed of the fifty items it was carrying.

As Paris Fashion Week rapidly approaches, it was announced on Sunday 17th evening via an Instagram post, that Balmain’s final garment delivery had been hijacked and robbed on its way from one of Paris's Airports. Olivier Rousteing, the brand’s Creative Director since 2011, stated on an Instagram post that he had been at the office since 9am on that day awaiting the delivery of more than 50 pieces for his upcoming collection when he was alerted by the truck driver of the accident. The latter was reported safe.

The iconic French house, whose show is scheduled on September 27th at 8:30pm (Paris Time), has confirmed that it will still be happening as planned despite the robbery. The designer stated “This is so unfair. My team and I worked so hard. We will work more, days and nights, our suppliers will work days and nights as well, but this is so disrespectful.”

No further comments about the robbery and the breakdown of the stolen items were made by any representative of the house.
