Danish fashion house Baum und Pferdgarten is celebrating its 25th anniversary by collaborating with Etonic, the world’s first athletic footwear brand. Baum und Pferdgarten began exploring Scandi Chic in 1999, a time of few brands in Copenhagen. The brand has developed a refined aesthetic over two and a half decades, combining co-founders Baumgarten’s bold experimentation and Hestehave’s sophisticated minimalism. Its partnership with Etonic, a pioneering force in sporting style with a rich legacy, is a dynamic twist marking the significant milestone and a new chapter for the brand. The collaborative shoe collection “Baum und Etonic” blends masculine and feminine, striking and subtle, and modish and functional elements.
Four standout trainer models from this collection debuted during Baum und Pferdgarten’s AW24 presentation at Copenhagen Fashion Week. The Kendari model is offered in “Rum Raisin”, a deep green with burgundy accents, and “Silver Lake Blue”, a silver design with striking blue and lime details. The Dropshot model is also available in “Rum Raisin”, featuring shades of emerald and subtle burgundy, as well as “Federal Blue”, a predominantly white trainer with blue and red highlights. These “Baum und Etonic” pieces were designed to complement Baum und Pferdgarten’s AW24 collection “Love und Friendship Since 1999”, and this was clear from the harmonious pairings showcased on the runway. Copenhagen Fashion Week saw the “Silver Lake Blue” Kendari matched with one of Baum und Pferdgarten’s iconic double-breasted blazers in navy pinstripe, while the Kendari in “Rum Raisin” complemented a powder pink set. The Dropshot in “Federal Blue” made two appearances, both featuring blue pinstripe motifs, and its “Rum Raisin” variant was paired with bold black leather and sequins. The autumnal green and burgundies, as well as the cool blues and whites, work in harmony with the tones present in “Love und Friendship Since 1999”.
The full “Baum und Etonic” collection will be available exclusively on Baum und Pferdgarten’s website from September 3, before arriving at select retailers in October. This collection is guaranteed to excite both fashion enthusiasts and sportswear aficionados alike, bringing together Scandinavian chic with athleticism. Whether paired with tailored blazers, feminine roses, or statement sequins, these trainers offer style and sophistication to any outfit, making every step a celebration of fashion history and athletic ability.
