Chanel unveiled its Cruise 24/25 collection again in Hong Kong on Tuesday, drawing a star-studded crowd of fashion enthusiasts from all around the world. The event, held at the Hong Kong Design Institute in Tiu Keng Leng, featured two shows — the first in the afternoon and the second in the evening. Chanel ambassadors and global icons, including actress Penelope Cruz, K-pop sensation G-Dragon, and Hong Kong actress Angela Yuen, were among the notable attendees, adding even more glamour to the occasion in head-to-toe Chanel. Chanel’s choice to restage the collection in Hong Kong highlights its commitment to appealing to its Asian clientele, even as the luxury market faces a broader slowdown.

Guests of the show made their way up a striking 197-foot escalator to reach the building’s upper levels, creating an impressive lead-up to the showcase. They were greeted by "Modern Flirt", a short film created by French director Audrey Diwan. Starring Hong Kong’s Angela Yuen and French actor Benjamin Voisin, the film pays homage to the city’s electric nightlife while highlighting Chanel’s classic sophistication. Against a backdrop of Hong Kong’s shimmering lights, Yuen and Voisin’s characters subtly flirt through eye-contact and slight smiles, capturing an unspoken connection that mirrors the inspiration behind Virginie Viard’s newest collection.
Originally debuted in the South of France, this collection was designed by the brand’s former artistic director Virginie Viard, prior to her exit in June. The collection captured Chanel’s signature aesthetic with coloured tweed suits, flowing maxi dresses and chic knitted co-ord sets, all embodying the Maison’s timeless elegance. Pieces from the Cruise collection are available on Chanel’s official website.
