The designer brought back his signature silhouettes with a twist.

On Saturday, David Koma returned to the runway with his staple body contouring silhouettes in tow. Beginning with solely black and white looks and progressing into splashes of reds, browns and blues as the collection went on, the Georgian designer reminded his audience of the iconic silhouettes that propelled him further into the fashion scene to begin with them.

A mix of solid and sheer fabric, the pieces radiated elegance and nonchalance in the best of ways. Varying from looks that would stun on the red carpet to pieces that could be worn as streetwear, the runway stayed true to Koma’s staple elements while also showing development from the designer. This time around, despite keeping to the fundamental body sculpting designs, flowy fabrics embedded into capes, tops, and jackets also made an appearance, along with fluffed skirts and eye-catching embellishments including fabric flowers and creatively placed fringe.

Koma’s Fall RTW collection for 2024 seamlessly manages to be chic and on-trend, without sacrificing the signature David Koma elements that make the designer and brand exactly what it is. Look out for pieces from the collection on the street and this year's red carpet.
