LONDON FASHION WEEK

Di Petsa's SS24 show at London Fashion Week was a celebration of femininity, healing, and sensuality.
The "Reflection of Venus" collection was inspired by the Greek goddess of love, beauty, and pleasure. The show opened with a performance by six dancers, who smoldered down the runway before arriving at a series of giant candles. Out of one of these candles emerged a leggy beauty with Venetian blonde tresses, wearing a diaphanous white gown.
The rest of the collection followed suit, with models gliding down the runway in ethereal gowns, flowing dresses, and delicate separates in white, nude, and pale pink shades. Many of the pieces featured Di Petsa's signature "wet look," which she creates by using special fabrics and draping techniques to create the illusion of wetness.

The collection also featured a number of gender-bending pieces, such as tailored suits and trousers in feminine fabrics and colors. This reflected Di Petsa's commitment to inclusivity and her belief that fashion should be for everyone, regardless of gender identity or expression.
In addition to its beauty and elegance, the collection also had a deeper message. In the show notes, Di Petsa explained that the collection was about "healing the erotic woman archetype." She wrote that "the erotic woman is not just about sex, but about passion, creativity, and self-love." She also noted that "the erotic woman has been demonized and oppressed for centuries, and it's time to reclaim her power."

The show was a powerful and moving celebration of femininity, healing, and the erotic. It was a reminder that fashion can be more than just a way to dress; it can also be a way to express ourselves, challenge societal norms, and create a more inclusive and equitable world.
