Dior’s Maria Grazia Chiuri takes inspiration from myths of Ancient Greece and Amazon warriors for her 2025 Ready-to-Wear collection.
Paris fashion week has officially kicked off, with Dior being one of the biggest highlights of day two. The brand’s creative director, Maria Grazia Chiuri, took to mythology to get inspired for this seasons' collection, with her influences ranging from the Amazon warriors to the Ancient Greek ‘peplos’.
Despite the consistently muted colour scheme, the looks that appeared on the runway conveyed its message of female empowerment in a seamless, elegant way. With Italian archer, Sofia Ginevra Giannì opening the show with a precise shot, the stage was set for the sleek, athletic, refined looks that composed the brand’s Paris fashion week show.

Varying from asymmetrical dresses to long mesh dresses, nylon shirts to plissé dresses, the collection did an exquisite job of conveying empowerment, strength and sleek athleticism. With an impeccable regard to movement and centuries of powerful women as inspiration, it was the details of this collection’s pieces - the cinched waists, off-the-shoulder asymmetrical lines and the delicate, skilled use of organza and tulle that brought forth the soft feminine contrast to the compelling collection.
