Dolce & Gabbana's Alta Moda 2024 show was a love letter to Sardinia. The idyllic Italian island provided a stunning backdrop for the unveiling of the design duo's latest couture masterpieces, which drew inspiration from the region's rich cultural heritage and breathtaking natural beauty.
A welcome party, featuring a surprise performance by Christina Aguilera kicked off the festivities. The Archaeological Park of Nora provided a stunning location for another showcase, featuring a unique installation titled "Nora Mirage" that echoed the abstract essence of the collection.

Local artistry and folklore were woven into the designs, with intricate embroidery, floral motifs, and traditional "pibiones" textile weaving techniques taking centre stage. Gold corsets and feather headpieces created by Guido Paolo were also seen on the runway. The collection was a celebration of cultural richness and artisanal legacy.
The focus on "Fatto a Mano," meaning handcrafted, was a key theme. This meticulous attention to detail, combined with the vibrant energy of Sardinian folklore, resulted in a truly unique collection. Each piece was a masterpiece, a story of love, magic, and ancient traditions brought to life through exceptional craftsmanship.
