Earlier this week, Chinese-born, London-based designer Feng Chen Wang unveiled her Fall/Winter 2025 collection at Paris Fashion Week. Known for blending ancient Chinese traditions with a modern edge, the menswear brand presented a unique collection themed around 'mythical beasts reimagined as handcrafted ceramic sculptures,' created in collaboration with artisans from Jingdezhen, China’s renowned ceramic capital. The show unfolded in an intimate setting, with the audience seated close to the models as they paraded down the runway. The room’s minimalist aesthetic, reminiscent of an industrial basement, directed all attention to the designs, allowing the craftsmanship and creativity of the collection to take centre stage.
Feng’s FW25 collection exuded a bold streetwear aesthetic, defined by oversized silhouettes and sculptural footwear. Monochrome ensembles in pastel yellow, earthy brown, rich blue, and head-to-toe denim commanded attention on the runway. Classic staples like suits, bomber jackets, trench coats, and turtlenecks were reimagined with such originality that they felt entirely reinvented. Feng also showcased a range of fabrics often considered the cornerstones of menswear, leather, denim, and wool, but elevated them with creativity and styling. These ‘big three’ were transformed into something uniquely her own, reflecting her ability to turn the familiar into the extraordinary.

Adding an artistic touch, models carried accessories resembling ceramic mythical creatures, seamlessly tying into Feng’s theme and elevating the collection’s narrative. Among the notable guests in attendance were celebrity musicians BNXN, Stonebwoy, and Shallipopi, all dressed in pieces from Feng Chen Wang’s AW25 collection, bringing star power to the show’s front row.
Feng Chen Wang first made waves in the fashion world with her debut collection at New York Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2016, which earned her a nomination for the highly-esteemed LVMH Prize. Since then, her designs have graced the runways of London Fashion Week, solidifying her position as a standout designer in the industry. A highlight of her career includes designing the official uniforms for the Beijing Winter Olympics in 2023, a testament to her influence beyond traditional fashion spheres.

Her AW25 collection continued this trajectory of excellence, drawing widespread acclaim from fashion heavyweights. Publications like Dazed, Pap Magazine, and Harper’s Bazaar Korea took to social media to celebrate the collection, in their stories. It’s clear Feng Chen Wang remains a force to be reckoned with, consistently making her mark on contemporary menswear.
