Loewe has appointed Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, the acclaimed designers behind Proenza Schouler, as its new creative directors. This significant move follows Jonathan Anderson's departure, marking a fresh chapter for the storied Spanish luxury house.
McCollough and Hernandez, who co-founded Proenza Schouler in 2002, bring with them a wealth of experience and a distinct design aesthetic that has garnered critical acclaim. Their arrival signals a potential evolution for Loewe, as they are set to oversee all creative aspects of the brand, including womenswear, menswear, leather goods, and accessories.
"We are incredibly honoured to join Loewe, a house whose values and mission align closely with our own. We look forward to working alongside its extraordinary teams and artisans, whose talent – under the exceptional creative direction of Jonathan Anderson – has shaped Loewe into the cultural force it is today," the pair said in a statement.
This appointment, which takes place officialy on April 7th, is poised to be one of the most closely watched developments in the fashion industry, as Loewe embarks on this exciting new phase.
