Louis Vuitton Men's presented its Pre-Fall 2024 collection in Hong Kong for the first time.
Set amidst the backdrop of the Hong Kong skyline, the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront is where creative director Pharrell Williams unveiled his first Pre-Fall 24 collection. Gathering exactly the crowd we expected, Williams gathered a truly exceptional entourage of international powerhouses, including global superstars from South Korea, China, and Japan.
The collection itself was an eclectic fusion of vibrant colours, bold silhouettes, and a touch of nostalgia. Drawing inspiration from Hong Kong's rich cultural heritage and Pharrell's own personal style, the collection showcases a dynamic blend of streetwear influences and the Maison's signature tailoring expertise. ''It was inspired by the idea of a businessman in Hong Kong who has decided to spend a week or so in Hawaii on holiday. But in the middle of his trip, he has to go back to Hong Kong for one day for a meeting he couldn’t move," says Pharrell of the collection.

Silhouettes in the collection were relaxed and easy going, reflecting a modern approach to luxury menswear. Varsity jackets, tailored trousers, and suits are given a makeover with sailor motifs being a key theme throughout the collection. Stripes and flowers are also present in the collection showing up on suiting and a variety of shirts and shorts, both in print and embroidery.
Footwear in the collection featured bold and exaggerated sandals and sneakers that drew inspiration from the formality of loafers. Other standout pieces included practical Keepall duffle bags to sophisticated full suits. Casual staples like denim shirts and varsity jackets received a touch of Pharrell's signature style with the addition of the "LVers" motif. This motif echoed the text displayed in the drone show during the finale, creating a unified visual identity for the collection.
