The Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) is celebrating fashion icon Naomi Campbell with a landmark exhibition, NAOMI: In Fashion , supported by BOSS. This groundbreaking showcase, the first of its kind at the V&A, explores Campbell's phenomenal four-decade career and her lasting impact on the fashion world.
Opening on June 22nd, 2024, the exhibition will delve into Campbell's journey from a young South Londoner with dreams of stardom to becoming one of the most recognizable and influential models in history. Over 100 curated outfits from Campbell's personal archive will be on view for the public, including haute couture gowns and ready-to-wear ensembles that defined iconic moments in her career. The exhibit will also feature pieces from renowned designers like Alexander McQueen, Azzedine Alaïa, and Vivienne Westwood, offering a glimpse into Campbell's collaborative spirit and the creative forces that shaped her fashion journey.
The exhibition goes beyond just showcasing stunning apparel. It promises to explore Campbell's influence on popular culture and her dedication to activism and will be accompanied by a publication titled Naomi: In Fashion. The publication will feature an interview with Naomi and unveil over 20 of her most iconic looks – personally selected and discussed by Campbell herself.
