Ever needed a dress last minute and ordered online, with hopes of it arriving in time the next day? Only to be sorely disappointed by late deliveries and apologies from the courier? Is your answer yes to all the above? Then Need It For Tonight (NIFT) is an app just for you.

Founded by sisters Simone and Roxanne Oloman Need It for Tonight or NIFT as it’s more popularly known is a three-way app that connects the customers to boutiques in London giving them real time stock updates. Customers can then order their chosen item and have it delivered to them by same day courier. The app has also given customers the ability to track their drivers in a way that closely resembles that of Deliveroo’s food delivery feature. A very ‘nifty’ idea for those occasions where Evri and Yodel may fail.

Speaking to the Simone and Roxanne it is clear that NIFT is here to make a difference, taking advantage of the fast fashion convenience gap, which is in a growing state of disarray the sisters have opted to work with ‘eco-conscious’ and ‘slow fashion’ brands and boutiques. “We’re really trying to stay away from the fast fashion brands and build a platform where our customers can shop sustainable brands.” Roxanne says as she explains the intricate workings of the app. The app was designed with sustain bility in mind the sisters tell me, with their drivers using push bikes and electric vehicles, the brands has also partnered with Ecologi to plant a tree for every delivery made.

An array of London based brands and boutiques have already signed to the app to provide their services, including the likes of Rejina Pyo, Wild Swans, Been London, West Carolina Boutique, Cult Mia, and Blue Nude. It is expected that many more brands will be available on the app as the summer unfolds.

The NIFT app is now available via Apple store and Google Play.
