Peter Copping’s debut for Lanvin was an homage to the 136 year old fashion house.

Taking over the oldest functioning French fashion house is no easy feat, yet Peter Copping has made it seem easy, seamlessly transitioning into his new position as the house’s artistic director. His debut collection set a standard for the future of the brand, paying homage to the brand’s roots while continuing to move forward and innovate.

In his Fall/Winter 2025 collection Copping revived the Art Deco era of Jeanne Lanvin, an era where intricate beading and striking embellishments reigned supreme. Mixed pattern gowns and A line silhouettes made for an ideal crossover between old and new, reassuring any doubters that Copping was the right choice to head the iconic fashion house as it moves forward.

The collection also revisited iconic Lanvin designs, such as capes, draped ribbon dresses, and the signature robe de style. Standout pieces included a gold metallic lurex dress, a skirt adorned with petals, cascading antique-style lace aprons, and gilded trousers, all of which skillfully blended historical inspiration with modern appeal.
